The Nemesys syringe pumps are connected to one another via the CAN bus and use the CANopen protocol for standardized access to all device parameters. Every neMESYS pump has an RS232-CAN gateway. This means that you only connect the RS232 interface of your microcontroller to the first Nemesys pump and have access to all pumps on the internal Nemesys CAN bus via the internal gateway. We have already programmed the RS232 communication for you in our open source RS232 library.
If your microcontroller has a CAN interface, you can also use it to access the Nemesys pumps directly. The optimum solution is then to use a CANopen master stack (such as the open source CANopen stack CANopen Node).
RS232 library
You will receive the complete source code
Other device manufacturers disclose the serial protocol of their pumps – we go one step further. CETONI offers an extensive RS232 C library for the integration of Nemesys pumps in customer-specific microcontroller-based control solutions.
Highlights
- You will receive the complete source code
- well-defined and easy-to-use programming interface (API)
- clear function groups
- detailed source code documentation
- Control multiple pumps via a single serial interface
- Support for Nemesys and Nemesys V4
CAN power cable or RS232 power cable
For CAN bus or RS232 and power supply
With the appropriate adapter cable, you can easily connect your CETONI devices to the CAN bus or the RS232 interface of your control system. You can feed the 24V needed for the supply of the CETONI devices via the two cable strands.
